GTA 6 hasn’t revealed much yet, but one thing is clear: this game is going to be huge and take up a lot of our time.
GTA 6 will let us explore the entire fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. Leaked gameplay shows there’s going to be a ton to do.
This is exciting, but it makes you wonder: will we have time for anything else in 2025 once GTA 6 is out?
Casual gamers, who only play heavily when a new Call of Duty or Grand Theft Auto launches, probably won’t mind. But hardcore gamers trying to keep up with everything might be concerned.
On the GTA 6 subreddit, fans are already worried about the packed 2025 gaming schedule and where GTA 6 fits in.
One big worry is the 2025 release of Mafia: The Old Country, a game GTA 6 fans will also want to play. If gamers have to choose, it’s obvious where most will spend their time and money.
“I hate that Mafia is competing with GTA 6 in the same year,” one user wrote. “I love those stories and gameplay. I hope it comes out before GTA 6.”
Another user said, “As long as Mafia: The Old Country releases before GTA 6, it won’t matter. Everyone will be playing GTA 6 once it’s out.”
Take-Two Interactive owns both Mafia and Grand Theft Auto, so it would be strange to release them close to each other. We can assume we’ll have time to finish The Old Country before GTA 6 comes out.
