When GTA 6 finally releases, we’ll probably laugh at all the delay rumors, but that day still feels far away.

After Rockstar Games dropped the first trailer, many of us thought we’d get more sneak peeks by now.

Unfortunately, Rockstar has stayed quiet, giving fans almost nothing to go on. This has led to some strange complaints about the trailer over the past few months.

Things heated up when an insider claimed GTA 6 would be delayed until 2026, which really frustrated fans.

However, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier stepped in to address these rumors.

Schreier took to Twitter to clear things up, saying he hasn’t heard of any delay so far. “Good news is that six Rockstar employees told me they haven’t heard about any delay,” he tweeted.

But he also gave a warning, “Bad news: it’s a huge game, and delays could still happen. There’s too much time left to be 100% sure.”

This “bad news” part has caused some debate among fans. While everyone knows delays can happen, seeing it spelled out like this makes it feel more likely.

Schreier added, “For all I know, Rockstar’s higher-ups might have decided months ago to delay GTA 6 without telling the team.”

This only made fans more worried, as it seems like a way to cover for a possible future delay.

Some fans are relieved to know the 2026 delay rumor isn’t true. Others say they’d be fine with a delay if it means the game turns out better.

One fan commented, “Honestly, I’d rather wait for a great game than get a rushed, bad one.”

Considering how excited people have been for GTA 6, even before the trailer, it’s hard to believe everyone’s okay with waiting longer.

Hopefully, we won’t have to wait much longer, and Rockstar will release a second trailer soon!
