Rumors of another GTA 6 delay are spreading again after fans spotted a quiet update on Rockstar Games’ official website. The small change has sparked concern across the community, but it might actually be a hint that something big, like a new trailer, is on the way.
It feels like every week, a new “GTA 6 delay theory” pops up. Fans are so eager for news that even the smallest changes spark huge discussions online.
But does this new website update really mean the game has been delayed again? Let’s take a closer look.
According to a report by Screen Rant’s Nicholas Becher, Rockstar quietly updated the official GTA 6 homepage over the weekend. The change was easy to miss, but fans quickly noticed that the May 26, 2026 release date was no longer visible on the site’s main landing page.
That small detail was enough to cause chaos on social media. Thousands of users on X (Twitter) started sharing posts claiming that GTA 6 had been delayed again, and the news spread fast. For a few hours, it seemed like everyone believed it.
However, if you scroll further down the website, the release date is still there. So no, GTA 6 hasn’t officially been delayed.
In fact, this update might actually be a sign of something positive. Many fans believe Rockstar is simply preparing the site for something big, possibly a new GTA 6 trailer or major announcement.
There’s a good reason to think that. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, is scheduled to hold its next earnings call on November 6. The company often shares big news right before these calls to excite investors or drops updates right after them.
So it’s possible Rockstar updated the website to get it ready for a fresh trailer or promotional content ahead of that event.
Of course, this is still just a theory. But for now, it looks like fans don’t need to worry about another delay. Instead, it might be time to get ready for some exciting GTA 6 news in the coming days.
