GTA 6 fans have just received another batch of new gameplay details, and some of them reveal features that Rockstar Games didn’t show during its recent Extended Look.
Streamer ElRubius, who was invited by Rockstar to watch an early hands-off preview of Grand Theft Auto 6, has now shared more details about what he saw.
While some of the features were briefly shown in the Extended Look, his comments give fans a much better idea of how several gameplay systems will actually work.
And there are some surprisingly detailed features hiding behind what Rockstar has shown so far.
According to details shared by fans on Reddit, ElRubius talked about everything from water stunts and smoking to NPC interactions, vehicle storage, car theft, combat, and even a social media system inside GTA 6.
One of the more interesting details involves what happens when Jason or Lucia jumps into water.
Players will apparently be able to manually control backflips while they’re in the air before hitting the water.
The system is said to work somewhat like the aerial movement in Marvel’s Spider-Man, giving players more control over how their character moves during a jump.
It sounds like a small feature, but it’s another example of Rockstar adding more control to GTA 6’s movement.
Smoking also appears to have received a major upgrade.
According to ElRubius, players will be able to buy cigarettes and smoke them, with the smoking animation lasting for a noticeable amount of time.
Unlike the quick smoking animation seen in Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 6’s version is apparently much more detailed.
Even more interestingly, smoking can reportedly increase your Focus meter.
The Focus system appears to work in a similar way to Red Dead Redemption 2’s Dead Eye, giving players an advantage in certain situations.
NPCs are another area where GTA 6 appears to be taking things much further.
ElRubius reportedly said that every NPC has an interaction menu, giving players more ways to interact with random people around Vice City.

He also claimed that the game has “way more dialogue lines than RDR2,” which could make random encounters feel much less repetitive.
That’s especially important because NPC density in GTA 6 is reportedly massive.
With Vice City and the surrounding areas expected to be packed with people, the larger number of dialogue options could make the world feel much more alive than previous GTA games.
There is, however, one type of NPC players won’t find walking around Vice City: children.
ElRubius confirmed that GTA 6 will not feature child NPCs, which isn’t exactly surprising given the mature content and violent nature of the Grand Theft Auto series.
Vehicles are also getting some major changes.
According to the preview details, your personal vehicles will work somewhat like the horses in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Players will be able to use their car as mobile storage, allowing them to keep heavy weapons and extra outfits in the trunk.
That could become a very useful feature during missions.
Even better, players won’t always have to search for their vehicle after leaving it somewhere.
GTA 6 will reportedly let you request your car through an app, allowing the vehicle to be delivered to your current location.
But stealing expensive cars won’t always be as simple as jumping in and driving away.
Higher-end vehicles are reportedly equipped with GPS trackers. If you steal one, you’ll need to take it to a mechanic and have the tracker removed before you can safely keep using it.
The Focus system can apparently help with this as well.
Before stealing a vehicle, players can reportedly activate Focus to see nearby police officers and the estimated value of the car.
That could give players a better idea of whether stealing a particular vehicle is actually worth the risk.
And if you’re wondering what driving GTA 6 will actually feel like, ElRubius reportedly had an interesting comparison.
The game’s driving is said to combine the weight and realism of GTA 4 with the faster response and control of GTA 5.
If that description is accurate, GTA 6 could strike a balance between the heavy vehicle physics many fans loved in GTA 4 and the more responsive driving that became popular in GTA 5.

But the vehicle details aren’t even the end of it.
ElRubius also reportedly confirmed full limb dismemberment during combat, suggesting that Rockstar is pushing the game’s violence and damage system further than previous GTA titles.
There will also reportedly be pawn shops, allowing players to sell stolen items for cash.
And then there’s the game’s social media system.
GTA 6 will reportedly feature a TikTok-style social network that players can use to discover information based on what is currently being posted or broadcast.
This could become another important part of exploring Vice City, especially if Rockstar uses the fictional social network to spread news, rumors, events, or clues to players.
What’s especially interesting about all of these details is that many of them were not shown in GTA 6’s Extended Look.
Rockstar has already shown an incredible amount of gameplay, but these new comments suggest the developer may still be holding back a huge number of smaller gameplay systems and features.
That’s becoming one of the most exciting parts of GTA 6.
The game isn’t simply trying to give players a bigger map.
Rockstar appears to be filling that world with more detailed systems, deeper NPC interactions, smarter vehicles, and more ways for players to interact with Vice City.
And with GTA 6’s release date getting closer, fans won’t have to wait much longer to test these features themselves.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
