GTA 6 could soon take over parts of the real-life Miami, with Miami Beach officials approving the next step for a major Grand Theft Auto 6 marketing campaign.
The Miami Beach City Commission voted 4–3 to allow the city to move forward with talks about a possible marketing deal involving Rockstar Games and marketing agency Amplify.
The plan could bring GTA 6 branding to several public areas around Miami Beach.
If the deal is completed, fans could see GTA 6-branded beach umbrellas, chairs, signs and other promotional displays around the city.
The campaign is reportedly being planned to start around October 15 and could continue through the end of 2026.
The timing would also make sense for Rockstar. GTA 6 is set to release on November 19, 2026, meaning the proposed campaign could arrive just weeks before the game’s launch.
The possible marketing deal is especially interesting because GTA 6’s Vice City is heavily inspired by Miami.
Rockstar has already shown beaches, streets, buildings and other areas that clearly take inspiration from South Florida.
This would give Rockstar a chance to promote GTA 6 in the same real-world location that helped inspire the game.
However, the proposal has also caused some debate among local officials.
Some concerns were raised about promoting a game that features crime, violence, drugs and other mature themes in public spaces.

The Miami Beach vote also comes after separate concerns were raised by officials in Miami-Dade County over possible GTA 6 promotional plans in the area.
For GTA 6 fans, though, the idea of seeing Vice City-style advertising across real Miami Beach could make for one of Rockstar’s most interesting marketing campaigns yet.
It is important to note that the vote does not mean the entire GTA 6 marketing deal has been finalized.
The city still needs to complete negotiations before the campaign can officially move forward.
With the GTA 6 release date now set for November 19, 2026, Rockstar is expected to ramp up its marketing in the months ahead.
If the Miami Beach deal goes through, fans could soon see Grand Theft Auto 6 become a very real part of the city that inspired Vice City.
