Lucia Caminos is one of the two main characters in Grand Theft Auto 6, and she holds a special place in the franchise as the first-ever voiced female protagonist in GTA history.
Lucia is a Latina woman living in Vice-Dale County, located in the state of Leonida. Before moving there, she and her family lived in Liberty City, where her father taught her how to fight “as soon as she could walk.” This might explain why she’s often seen wearing a gold boxing glove pendant, a symbol of her fighting spirit.
Lucia’s biggest goal is to live the good life that her mother always dreamed of — and she’s ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
In the mid-2020s, Lucia ended up in prison for a crime related to protecting her family. When the story of GTA 6 begins, she’s seen being released from prison, still wearing an ankle monitor, showing she’s not entirely free yet.
Lucia shares a close, Bonnie and Clyde-style relationship with the game’s other main character, Jason Duval. The two are seen robbing Uncle Jack’s Liquor store and making a quick getaway together. In Trailer 2, they appear to be living together after her release, suggesting their partnership goes beyond just crime.
Since the first GTA 6 trailer focused heavily on Lucia, many fans believe she’ll be the main protagonist, similar to how Michael De Santa was in GTA 5. Interestingly, Rockstar’s website lists Jason first, but that might just be alphabetical order.
While Rockstar hasn’t officially confirmed her voice actor, fans strongly believe Lucia is voiced by Manni L. Perez, as her appearance and voice closely match the actress.
Fun Fact: Lucia marks a major milestone in GTA history — the first time a female lead takes the spotlight in the series.
