Rocktober hasn’t even started yet, and GTA 6 is already getting another major wave of coverage.

Game Informer has revealed that GTA 6 will be the cover story for its upcoming issue, with the digital edition arriving on September 29.

The feature will span 14 pages and includes new interviews with several Rockstar Games lead designers.

Even more exciting for GTA 6 fans, the issue will contain 12 previously unseen screenshots showing more of Leonida, its characters and the game’s world.

Game Informer’s feature will focus on how Rockstar created its version of Florida, including new information about GTA 6’s advanced weather systems, wildlife and the research behind Leonida.

Rockstar is also expected to share more about how it recreated Florida’s culture and atmosphere inside the game.

And this is happening before October has even started.

October Could Be Huge for GTA 6

The timing could hardly be more interesting.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, meaning October will be the game’s final full month before release.

That gives Rockstar roughly four weeks to push its marketing campaign into its final stage.

Rockstar has already shown that it is willing to keep GTA 6 in the spotlight.

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen the Limited Edition DualSense reveal, DualSense pre-orders, the announcement of GTA VI: The Album and now this major Game Informer cover story.

The September 29 feature could therefore be the perfect way to enter “Rocktober.”

There is no confirmed schedule for what Rockstar will reveal throughout October, but fans have plenty of reasons to expect more GTA 6 marketing during the month.

A new trailer, additional gameplay information, radio details, advertisements, merchandise announcements and other launch information have all been discussed by fans as possibilities. None of those are confirmed, though.

What is confirmed is that Rockstar is now entering the final stretch.

With GTA 6 less than two months away, the September 29 Game Informer feature is already giving fans 12 new screenshots and fresh developer comments before October even begins.

So if September is ending with a 14-page GTA 6 cover story, the obvious question is what Rockstar has planned for Rocktober.

And considering October is the final full month before GTA 6 launches, fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
