The wait for GTA 6 Trailer 3 may not be much longer, at least according to well-known industry insider Tom Henderson.
However, fans hoping for a confirmed leak should temper their expectations, as Henderson has stressed that his latest prediction is based on logic rather than insider information.
Speaking about Rockstar Games’ marketing plans, Henderson suggested that August 6 could be the perfect day for the studio to release the next GTA 6 trailer.
The timing isn’t random. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, is scheduled to hold its next earnings call on August 7, giving the publisher an ideal opportunity to showcase fresh GTA 6 momentum just before speaking to investors.

Henderson believes a trailer released one day before the earnings call would generate massive engagement, potentially producing millions of views, a surge in pre-orders, and widespread discussion across social media.
Those numbers could then be highlighted during Take-Two’s investor presentation, reinforcing confidence in what is already expected to be one of the biggest entertainment launches of all time.
Importantly, Henderson has made it clear that this is not a leak. He says no one at Rockstar has shared information with him about the trailer’s release date.
Instead, it’s an educated prediction based on Rockstar’s previous marketing strategy and the company’s relationship with Take-Two’s financial calendar.

There is some history supporting that theory. Rockstar released GTA 6 Trailer 2 shortly before a Take-Two investor briefing in 2025, leading many fans to believe the company prefers to align major marketing beats with important financial events.
A new trailer featuring Vice City and Leonida ahead of another earnings call would certainly help generate excitement among both players and shareholders.
That said, past patterns don’t guarantee future results.
Rockstar has built a reputation for moving on its own schedule, often ignoring fan expectations and surprising the gaming community with unexpected announcements—or extended periods of silence.
Henderson himself acknowledged this, noting that the developer has repeatedly shown it’s willing to break from previous trends if it believes that’s the right approach.

For now, August 6 remains nothing more than a prediction, not a confirmed release date.
Still, with Take-Two’s earnings call fast approaching and anticipation for GTA 6 at an all-time high, fans will undoubtedly be watching closely to see if Rockstar finally breaks its silence once again.
Whether Trailer 3 arrives next week or later this year, one thing is certain, when Rockstar finally presses the upload button, the gaming world will be paying attention.
