GTA 6 Trailer 4 could be coming on October 4, according to a new fan theory that is spreading across the Grand Theft Auto community.

With October finally here and Rockstar getting deeper into its GTA 6 marketing campaign, fans are once again trying to work out when the next major reveal could happen.

But there is a big catch. Rockstar has not confirmed GTA 6 Trailer 4, and there is no official announcement saying that a new trailer will arrive on October 4, 2026.

The date is currently based on fan speculation, with the latest theory gaining attention after a Reddit post appeared on October 1 claiming that “Trailer 4 is in October 4.”

The theory has already attracted hundreds of upvotes, but the comments show just how uncertain the claim is.

Some fans are taking the possibility seriously, while others are joking about the community once again trying to find hidden clues in everything Rockstar does.

There is also an interesting history behind the October 4 GTA 6 theory.

Back in 2024, fans spotted what looked like an “OCT 4” message on the license plate of a scooter featured in a GTA Online promotion.

The plate showed “OCT” while the number 4 appeared as part of “PIZZ4.” Fans quickly connected the two and came up with October 4 as a possible date for the next GTA 6 trailer.

At the time, some players believed Rockstar had secretly hidden the date in the GTA Online footage.

Others thought it could be related to the GTA 6 release date instead. Rockstar never confirmed either idea.

More importantly, October 4, 2024 came and went without GTA 6 Trailer 2. The old theory was eventually treated as another failed GTA 6 fan theory.

Now, two years later, October 4 has suddenly returned to the GTA 6 discussion.

The reason fans are paying attention again is the timing.

Rockstar has entered the final stretch of its marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto 6, which is officially scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026.

Rockstar has already released a huge amount of new GTA 6 material this year.

The company released Trailer 2, followed by dozens of screenshots and other promotional material.

More recently, Rockstar released GTA 6: An Extended Look on August 27, giving fans a much longer look at the game using footage captured directly from the PlayStation 5 version.

Rockstar’s official GTA 6 website currently lists three major videos: Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and An Extended Look. The official site does not currently list a Trailer 3 or Trailer 4.

That creates an important detail about the latest October 4 theory.

When fans talk about GTA 6 Trailer 4, they are assuming Rockstar will release another numbered trailer after a potential Trailer 3.

However, there is no official confirmation that Rockstar plans to number its next video this way.

The next major GTA 6 video could technically be called Trailer 3, another Extended Look, a gameplay showcase, or something completely different.

Still, Rockstar clearly has plenty of reasons to release more footage before launch.

The company recently continued its marketing push with the GTA 6 Vice City Collection, new merchandise, the game’s soundtrack and album promotions, and a major Game Informer cover story.

The September 29 Game Informer coverage also gave fans another batch of information and screenshots from GTA 6.

This is exactly why October has become such an important month for fans.

With the game launching on November 19, Rockstar now has less than two months to complete its final marketing campaign.

A new trailer during October would therefore make sense from a marketing point of view.

It could give Rockstar another chance to show off Jason and Lucia, introduce more characters, reveal new locations and activities, or simply remind casual players that GTA 6 is getting closer to launch.

However, that does not mean October 4 is confirmed.

There is currently no official Rockstar post, trailer listing, press release or other reliable announcement confirming GTA 6 Trailer 4 for October 4, 2026.

In fact, the strongest piece of evidence behind the current date is still the fan community itself.

The new Reddit post making the claim does not provide an official source for the date.

The discussion is mostly fans reacting to the possibility, with several comments openly treating the idea as another joke or theory.

That is important because the GTA 6 community has a long history of finding possible clues in Rockstar’s smallest details.

Rockstar has used hidden messages and unusual marketing details before, which has encouraged fans to look closely at GTA Online updates, social media posts, screenshots, merchandise and even license plates.

But not every strange detail is a GTA 6 teaser.

The old October 4 license plate theory is a perfect example. Fans saw “OCT” and “4” and connected them to GTA 6, but the date passed without the expected trailer.

So while the October 4 date is interesting, there is currently no solid evidence that Rockstar has selected that day for its next GTA 6 trailer.

If a new trailer is actually planned for October 4, an official announcement would likely be the first reliable sign.

The date has become popular again because October has arrived, Rockstar’s marketing campaign is getting bigger, and GTA 6 is now less than two months away from release.

But the old October 4 clue from 2024 does not prove anything about October 4, 2026.

What is confirmed is that GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, and Rockstar is already deep into its final marketing push.
