The Grenade Launcher is one of the most powerful explosive weapons confirmed for GTA 6. It was first showcased in Trailer 2, where Lucia Caminos is seen firing it at police vehicles, destroying multiple cars with a single, devastating blast.
Manufactured by Shrewsbury, the Grenade Launcher features a revolving chamber design, allowing players to fire several rounds in quick succession before needing to reload.
Each shot launches a 40mm grenade, which explodes after about one second or detonates instantly upon impact with a vehicle, wall, or enemy.
This weapon isn’t new to long-time fans — the Grenade Launcher has previously appeared in GTA 4’s DLCs, GTA 5, and GTA Online.
Interestingly, it was originally planned for the first Vice City game, but was cut from the final release. Now, after years of waiting, it’s finally making its explosive debut in Vice City through GTA 6.
The design of the GTA 6 version is clearly inspired by the real-life Milkor MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher), a South African weapon known for its six-round drum, fast reloads, and massive firepower.
