Grenades in GTA 6 are powerful throwable explosives that players can use to cause massive damage in combat.

These classic weapons have appeared in almost every Grand Theft Auto game since GTA 2, and their return in GTA 6 continues that long tradition of destruction.

When using a grenade, players simply pull the pin and throw it in a chosen direction. After a short delay, it explodes with a strong blast that can destroy vehicles, take out groups of enemies, and cause heavy destruction across the area.

One of the key tactics with grenades in GTA 6 is the ability to “cook” them. This means holding the grenade for a brief moment after pulling the pin, so it explodes sooner after being thrown.

However, this move comes with a risk — hold it too long, and you could end up blowing yourself up.

While Rockstar Games hasn’t officially confirmed grenades in GTA 6 yet, leaked gameplay footage from September 2022 clearly showed them in action.

That almost guarantees their return, giving players another explosive way to handle enemies and chaos in Vice City.
