There are two big downsides to hearing about another possible GTA 6 delay.
First, fans will have to wait even longer for one of the most hyped games ever made. Second, more delays usually bring more leaks, rumours, and fake “insider” claims.
Rockstar Games is known for staying quiet and keeping everything secret until the very end.
This makes the time before a GTA release a perfect moment for insiders and leakers to spread new claims every day.
Now that we are less than a year away from getting GTA 6 on our consoles, those leaks are popping up again.
We already know that GTA 6 is coming first to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
A PC version will come later, just like past GTA games. But until recently, there was no news at all about a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
That changed after a new rumour started spreading.
A New Insider Claim About GTA 6 on Switch 2

A Spanish insider named Nash Weedle claimed that GTA 6 will also get a Nintendo Switch 2 port.
In a tweet that was later deleted, the insider wrote:
“I can confirm that a GTA VI port for Switch 2 is in the works.
I haven’t said much about it before; I had to be careful.
I can also add that the game’s delay isn’t because of this version.
It doesn’t look like it will be a launch title.”
Another Insider Responds

Nash Weedle didn’t share any solid proof, but another insider, NateTheHate, also commented on the rumour.
They said:
“I mentioned before that Rockstar was testing GTA 6 on Switch 2, but tests don’t always mean a real release.
I know they tried to see if the game could run on the platform, but I don’t know the current status.”
Fans React With Mixed Opinions

As expected, the rumour has split the community.
Many players believe GTA 6 is simply too big and too demanding to run on Nintendo’s handheld system.
One user on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours said:
“This is completely false. The hardware just isn’t strong enough for a game as huge as GTA. The only way it could work is cloud streaming.
Tests may have been done, but a native version will never happen.”
But some fans are still hopeful. Another user pointed out:
“GTA V is one of the biggest-selling games ever. The Nintendo Switch is also one of the best-selling consoles ever. If the Switch 2 is powerful enough, anything is possible.”
Final Thoughts

As always, it’s important to treat these claims as rumours until Rockstar Games or Take-Two confirms anything officially.
Nothing is guaranteed.
Still, the idea of seeing the biggest game in the world running on a Nintendo handheld is definitely interesting, and it would be a huge moment in gaming history.
