In the past, Rockstar has released screenshots for games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 just months after their first trailers.
However, as some fans have noticed, it’s been longer than usual since the first GTA 6 trailer was released. GTA 5 had its first screenshots 253 days after the initial trailer, and Red Dead Redemption 2 released images 214 days after its big reveal. For GTA 6, it’s already been over 260 days, so new images might be coming soon.
We believe that the second GTA 6 trailer might drop in December 2024, based on Rockstar’s usual timing. If that’s the case, we could see some new screenshots before the end of the year.

While September might bring some news, November 2024 could be even more exciting.
November is when Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of GTA, holds its next quarterly earnings call. During these calls, we often learn more about Rockstar’s upcoming projects. The company’s financial projections sometimes force Take-Two to share updates on upcoming releases or delays.
Additionally, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick usually gives interviews around this time. In the past, he’s talked about Rockstar’s work on GTA 6 and confirmed the planned Fall 2025 release date several times.
On top of that, Rockstar has a history of revealing new information right before these earnings calls, likely because positive fan reactions look good for investors.
