It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since Rockstar Games went through one of the biggest leaks in gaming history.
Back then, hours of GTA 6 gameplay were shared online, giving fans an early look they were never meant to see.
The leak included 90 videos and more than 50 minutes of early gameplay. The hacker claimed they got everything from Rockstar’s private Slack channels.
Even though the clips were quickly taken down, the damage was already done. Those leaked videos were the first time we saw Vice City, along with the new main characters, Jason and Lucia.

The hacker was eventually caught and sentenced, but the leak opened the door for years of new rumors and “insider” claims about GTA 6.
Earlier this week, another clip started making noise online. A video posted on the Zap Actu GTA 6 Twitter account claimed to show new leaked gameplay from Rockstar’s upcoming game.
The post said, “A new video has just been posted by multiple anonymous accounts — and things are starting to get wild.”
The clip shows someone who looks like Jason walking shirtless on a sidewalk. The message also suggested that the footage was recorded inside Rockstar Games studios, hinting that someone from the inside captured it.
At first, many GTA 6 fans were shocked. The video looked real at a quick glance. But the excitement didn’t last long.
Within hours, other GTA 6 community accounts debunked the supposed leak.
Officially Debunked

“This is an old leak,” user GTA Assassin explained. “A long time ago, a photo from Rockstar’s San Diego office leaked. This video is probably edited or AI-generated.”
Another user, D4RKSTORM, also confirmed it was fake: “It comes from a screenshot of a tweet from January 1, 2025, but someone added a video to it. The original screenshot is much older.”
Both users provided clear proof showing the video was fake, and unlike the original post, their evidence wasn’t altered in any way.
With GTA 6 now only one year away after facing another delay earlier this year, it seems some people are desperate for attention and are willing to make fake leaks for clout. Luckily, dedicated fans are quick to shut down anything suspicious.
GTA 6 is set to release on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
